Well done for controlled fireworks
Well done to Judy Parkins of Sky Blazer Technologies cc. Firstly you sent out a message that you were going to have a fireworks display and that you had it under controlled circumstances.
This is all the residents are asking - that fireworks be set off in controlled areas by responsible people.
A fireworks display can be an awesome experience when it is done properly. If everyone got together paid R100 and watched from one area this would be less expensive and you would be able to see professionals do the job properly. The big bangs are not only an annoyance but very dangerous put in the wrong hands.
The municipality must now take action and make a stand against the abuse of the use of fireworks. Fewer children and animals will be injured if we go the route that Sky Blazer Tech did last Thursday where they held their display at the Salt Rock Hotel on the beach.
We all wish that more people would follow this trend.
